Please note: Attendees will not only hear how to stay safe, but will also hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Grace.

A Sheepdog Weekend is a unique way to reach out to your community and show that you care.

Sheepdog Weekend

Featuring Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman (ret.), Jimmy Meeks, retired police officer and minister, and Ken Alexandrow, retired police officer (see bios below).

Since 2014, Colonel Grossman and Jimmy Meeks have conducted over 100 Sheepdog Seminars together across the United States. The response has been incredible (see testimonies below).

If interested in hosting a Sheepdog Weekend, fill out this form and hit “Submit” - or call 817.437.9693.

Below is a schedule of what a Sheepdog Weekend would look like. It is an example, and subject to approval from the church that would serve as the host. .

Thursday Night

THURSDAY NIGHT - SHEEPDOG SEMINAR FOR WOMEN

Jimmy Meeks has conducted Women’s Safety Seminars across the country. Thousands of women have attended these meetings. There is no self-defense involved. Instead, we show women how to practice “Situational Awareness.”

We do charge “admission” to this seminar - but not money. Instead, we ask all the women to bring items that can be donated to a local ministry that is helping women (and children) who are victims of violence, human trafficking, or any other ministry/organization that is rendering such a service (items such as clothing, canned goods etc).

Friday afternoon and Friday night

FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT SHEEPDOG SEMINAR FOR CHURCHES

The safety seminars for churches begins Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. We break around 5:00 for supper, and return at 6:30 p.m.

Jimmy Meeks and Ken Alexandrow will lead these sessions.

We will show you what you must do to increase the safety factor at your house of worship, and greatly reduce the possibility of violence occurring at your house of worship.

We will also address the problem of Sex Crimes, which occur often in church-related gatherings. We will show you what you need to do that will increase the chances of your church NOT having to endure such a tragedy.

Saturday morning

SATURDAY MORNING SHEEPDOG SEMINAR FOR CHURCH AND COMMUNITY

On Saturday morning, from 8:30 until about 12:30, Colonel Grossman will give his well-known presentation The Bulletproof Mind.

This message is relevant for church members AND the community. Church - this is a great opportunity to reach out to your community, showing them you care not only for their “souls" - but their safety.

There is one more gathering your church might want to host on a Sheepdog Weekend.

A Sunday morning service in honor of all First Responders. We have conducted quite a few of these across the country. Jimmy Meeks shares a message entitled “The Heart of the Father.” Police officers across the country have been greatly impacted by this message. You can watch the message by clicking here.

HOW IS THE SHEEPDOG WEEKEND FUNDED?

  • We have no desire to be a financial burden to any church. We have learned that it is much better when attendees “have some skin in the game,” thus we ask attendees to purchase a ticket (approximately $50.00).

  • We also ask the church to consider a donation (if possible). We pay all of our own expenses (travel, lodging, and food). If the number of attendees is 200 or more, we do not ask for a donation from the church.

  • We also encourage the church to consider inviting paying vendors that could off-set the price to fund the seminar (organizations that sell any product related to our agenda: tourniquets, 2-way radios, AEDS, etc).

We’re grateful for all the people from different churches who have attended our seminars since 2009. These precious sisters were with us in Sacramento.

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT OUR SHEEPDOG SEMINAR presentations

I am a...68-year old grandmother of six...The seminar, the CDs, and the printed material are like gold, and I thank you for them.
— Patricia

“Our staff was ‘blown away’ with what you presented, your passion for what you do, and your heart for Jesus Christ." (Dustin)

"It was an awesome experience. I was either inspired or being convicted at any given moment, and I felt that I had my money’s worth by noon the first day (Mike)

“I’ve been a certified law enforcement officer for over 25 years now and short of the SWAT training I went through with Delta Force at Ft. Bragg, this has been by far some of the best training I’ve had the pleasure of attending. (Rick)

"The Seminar was more then I expected. Lot's of great material and very intense. I have been talking to everyone about the experience and can't quit thinking about it.  I am already taking steps to apply the Sheepdog Ministry at my church.” (David)

“Thank you for putting together this seminar as it was absolutely fantastic!  Honestly, "Thanks" just doesn't seem to truly tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. I learned a lot and will be implementing much of what I learned into my security team and personal life." (Steve)

"I had a wonderful experience at your seminar; just incredible.  I’ll be back next year and hopefully so will the rest of our team." (Steven)

“It was a wealth of information that will help us do the work that God has called us to do in keeping His people safe. (Steve)

"I want to thank you for the awesome safety seminar Friday and Saturday. I and everyone on our church's security team all feel like we just got a ton of knowledge from the seminar. The guys/dogs are excited and already talking how we can apply some of that knowledge to improve the job that we do to protect our church..."
(Mark)

"I know you're going to get a thousand of these so I'll keep it short.  Your training was amazing, not just for strategic, but for the mind!  Very faith-based.  I've been on a natural high for 3 days!"  (Tom - retired police officer)

"I was at the seminar in Denver along with several of my brothers, and we all thought it was great, and had a good time!  Thanks for putting it on and look forward to going next year as well, and hopefully we'll bring a few more from our group along." (Scott)

"Wow, my head is still reeling from the Sheepdog Seminar … I was blown away by the amount of information given to us and I took notes like crazy because I didn't want to forget any of it! …I want to THANK YOU for sacrificing your time to spend it with us!!! I enjoyed every minute of it, my brain hurts, but in a good way!...everything was perfect! Loved it! Can't wait for more!" (Larry)

"I thought the seminar was absolutely tremendous with both the presentation and information.  Would recommend it for anyone with any desire for security issues for schools, churches, homes and individuals.   (Jerry - retired teacher, coach, and Dallas Cowboys Football Player under Tom Landry)

"Thank you very much for all your time and effort in putting this seminar together!  The nominal admission fee was very well worth all that I learned and for all the contacts and connections made during the seminar.  Plus all the resources that were available such as the books I purchased and the brochures I picked up.  I was so pumped up after leaving on Saturday afternoon that when I got home that evening I raved to my family until about midnight!" (Kevin)

"My personal favorite part of the entire experience was the scripture and reinforcement of what we are doing and why.  To me that was even more helpful than the great information about how to be ready from a physical perspective.  A man needs to know he serves a great cause, Sheepdogs serve the Lord, their church body, and each other, but we also need to make sure we continue serving our wives, our children, and our neighbors.  You made that point very clear, and backed everything up with scripture.  That was outstanding."(David)

"I LOVED the training!  I was thanking my sheriff this morning for being able to attend the Sheepdog training.  It was high quality and contained the vital information I need in order to establish Safety Teams in our area churches.  Thank you so much for sharing your training and personal experiences.  Honestly, I can’t think of one negative comment about this seminar." (Doug - Virginia Police Officer)

"The seminar provided a realistic insight to the dangers churches face today. Every church leader needs this information so they can make informed decisions regarding their own security plans. You hit the nail on the head when you spoke about churches that rely on their faith that God will protect their flock instead of implementing the services of a Shepard, or “Sheepdog.” I truly hope they will find enlightenment from the lessons learned by others, like the ones presented at your seminar. I plan to use the information I have gained to supplement my Security Assessment Plans from this point forward." - Police Officer
