Providers and Protectors
The Heart for the City Conference is a one-day conference that challenges the attendees to become the Providers and Protectors of their city.
As Provider, they seek to exude Jesus and His life to their fellow citizens; as Protector, they have chosen to heed the calling to be mindful of the safety of others, to serve as their brother’s keeper (Genesis 4:9 - “keeper” = protector, guard, save life).
Protectors may be carrying a gun, but as Providers, they also carry a towel, and are ready to wash feet at a moment’s notice. The most powerful weapon they use is love. Did you know that our first father, Adam, was a Provider and Protector? Click here for an explanation.
Our Cities Are Hurting
Violent crime is surging in many of our cities, and that, along with other factors, is causing much harm to our cities: a political nightmare in Washington D.C., protests and rioting in our streets, a pandemic that has taken the lives of thousands.
It is our hope that those who profess faith in Jesus would have a heart for their city - and discover what task they are called to, what assignment they have been given.
The Heart for the City Conference is designed to help you secure such a heart, and then, moved by compassion, do your part to make your city…better. The conference is designed to move the attendee from being a mere Critic to a Contributor.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY TERMS SUCH AS “FIGHT” OR “WARRIOR?”
We are well aware of the fact that there are some who are a bit intimidated by the use of these words.
When we use the terms “fight” or “warrior,” we are talking about involvement in the city … giving ourselves to a Worthy Christ-centered Cause, to the glory of God, and for the benefit of our fellow citizens.
The person who fights for his city is, as Teddy Roosevelt said, “…the man who is actually in the arena…”
It is our hope that we can help you get in the “arena.”
WE CHALLENGE...
…men and women who are “blood bought and born again,” who will sit at the feet of Jesus, and “catch” from Him a BURNING HEART - and who will then rise up and give themselves to a worthy Christ-centered cause.
